Rye Brook Youth Soccer Club Scholarship Policy and Procedure
I. A goal of the Rye Brook Youth Soccer Club (RBYSC) is to provide a quality soccer program for our area’s youth at a reasonable cost. While we believe that our Club fees are very competitive, we recognize that for some families the fee is prohibitive. We do not want interested, qualified players denied a chance to improve their soccer skills and develop to the best of their ability because of cost. To this end, we offer scholarships for club registration fees to the extent possible given club resources to qualifying families.
II. Each scholarship request is considered on a per season basis for club registration fees only and are not automatically renewable. Upon application to the Scholarship Committee, the parent(s) or guardian(s) of a player may request a scholarship covering all or partial payment of the Club’s annual dues. No assistance is offered for other expenses, including uniform and travel fees (tournament, etc.). Parents of scholarship applicants are expected to provide volunteer time to the Rye Brook Youth Soccer Club during the season for which the scholarship is granted.
III. Confidentiality: All scholarship information is for the sole purpose of helping the Scholarship Committee Executive make an informed decision on an applicant’s request. These scholarship requests are strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone other than the Rye Brook Youth Soccer Club Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee includes Tony Paterno, Ken Finder and Glenn Christal The power to review and grant scholarships resides with the Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee may, at its sole discretion, attach conditions to the issuance of any scholarship
